Are there any pre-care instructions before my dermal filler appointment?
- If you have any social events, including weddings, photoshoots, etc., we ask you to schedule this appointment at least 8 weeks prior.
- We ask you to stop such medications for 7 days before your filler appointment to decrease the chances of increased bruising, bleeding, and swelling.
- If you are on a type of prescription blood thinner, we ask you to get written medical clearance to stop such prescription blood thinners from your Primary Care Provider before your appointment.
- If you have questions about what Filler and time are appropriate for you, we are happy to schedule a complimentary consultation with you before your appointment.
When should I reschedule my dermal filler appointment?
We ask you to reschedule your desired appointment until post-care instructions can be fulfilled for the following reasons:
- If you plan to engage in vigorous exercise within 1-2 days following your desired filler appointment.
- If you have been consuming alcohol
- If you are currently on a prescription blood thinner such Plavix or Xarelto, or have been taking anti-inflammatory medications such as Advil, Motrin, Aleve, Voltaren, or Ibuprofen for 7 days before your desired filler appointment,
